Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The reviewer finds the Redmi Buds 5 Pro to be a strong flagship option with excellent sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and a premium design, though the higher price compared to the standard Buds 5 may make it less accessible for budget-conscious buyers. They recommend it for those seeking top-tier features, while noting the standard model remains a good alternative.

The reviewer found the Redmi Buds 5 Pro to be excellent, particularly praising the outstanding active noise cancellation that effectively handled airplane and train noise during travel. They were impressed with the sound quality, feature set, and especially the microphone performance, which they considered better than many other earbuds and even suitable for phone recording. Overall, they highly recommend these earbuds and consider them their new go-to pair.

The reviewer finds the Redmi Buds 5 Pro to be a solid budget option, offering good build quality, effective ANC, and a warm, bass-heavy sound signature. While the included ear tips are limited and there's no custom EQ, the overall performance and feature set make it a strong contender in the sub-$100 category.

The reviewer finds the Redmi Buds 5 Pro have excellent noise cancellation, battery life, and a compact case, but the sound quality with standard EQ presets is worse than the cheaper Redmi Buds 5, and the custom EQ causes random volume drops. Because of these audio issues, the reviewer cannot recommend the Pro model until a fix is released.

The reviewer compares the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 5 Pro with the Nothing Ear (a), finding both to be excellent budget earbuds. However, the Nothing Ear (a) outperforms the Redmi Buds in most areas, including design, comfort, connectivity, app experience, audio quality, and ANC, while the Redmi Buds offer better battery life. The reviewer concludes that the slightly higher price of the Nothing Ear is justified.
