REVIEW: The Oppo Enco Buds3 or Oppo Enco Air4 half-in-ears are the successor to the wonderful Air3. Compared with SoundPEATS, Huawei, Soundcore.

The HearWiki takeAI-condensed

The OPPO Enco Buds3 are a lightweight, half-in-ear TWS option that prioritize comfort and long battery life over active noise cancellation. They deliver a warm, bass-forward sound signature with clear calls and practical features like Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint, and low-latency gaming mode, making them a solid budget pick for casual listening. However, the open fit may not suit workouts or loud environments, and the tuning sacrifices some vocal clarity for smoothness.

What works

  • Excellent battery life (up to 9.5 hours, 48 with case)
  • Comfortable, lightweight semi-open fit
  • Solid bass-heavy sound for the price
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint and low-latency mode
  • IP55 water resistance for light protection

What doesn't

  • Loose fit not ideal for active use or noisy settings
  • No active noise cancellation or transparency mode
  • Warmer tuning reduces vocal prominence
  • No wireless charging or custom EQ options

The Oppo Enco Buds3 is a worthy successor to the Air3, offering excellent battery life, a comfortable fit, and clear call quality. While the sound is warmer and bassier, it loses some of the special edge of its predecessor, leading to a 4.5-star rating.

The Oppo Enco Buds 3 / Oppo Enco Air 4 half-in-ears misses the prominent mid-tones that made the Oppo Enco Buds Air 3 special. They tone down the vocal presentation just a little bit in change for a smoother, bassier sound. That said: this is a commendable pair of half-in-ears - offering high comfort, outstanding battery life, calls, and great sound for as little as 25 to 50 dollars. The OPPO Enco Buds3 offer surprisingly good sound quality for the $99 price, with crisp audio and deep bass that rivals more expensive earbuds. However, the design is a major drawback, as they lack a secure fit and are not suitable for workouts or noisy environments. Overall, they are recommended for casual listening in quiet settings, but not for active use.
