REVIEW: The Kiwi Ears Spark are sports-oriented wireless earbuds with weird design choices. Includes sports test, call test and sound quality review.

The HearWiki takeAI-condensed

The Kiwi Ears Spark are open-style wireless earbuds aimed at active use, offering a sturdy build and a surprisingly detailed sound for their price. However, their design and fit present some practical challenges, with thin bass and overly reactive touch controls detracting from the experience. While they deliver solid battery life and a secure enough fit for some, the overall package feels compromised by a few notable execution issues.

This review is largely negative, arguing that the Spark makes several awkward design choices for sporty open earbuds. It highlights weak bass, an oversized case, touch controls that are too sensitive, and the lack of features like multipoint and ANC.

The reviewer finds the Spark a strong first effort for open earbuds, praising its build quality, battery life, and surprisingly convincing sound for the format. The main drawbacks noted are thin bass and a case lid that closes too forcefully.

The Kiwi Ears Spark has too many weird choices for a sports-oriented pair of earbuds. The heavy and open charging case, the colour, the oversensitive touch panels, the somewhat loose fit, and the lack of bass in the sound. The looks of the Kiwi Ears Spark will surely spark a conversation - but it likely won't be a very positive one. Good sound, poor function

Fall off frequently, so functionality is poor. Sound quality is great though

Look elsewhere

Quality case, maybe one of the best I have seen for buds at this price point but the sound quality is so bad. I wasn t expecting anything audiophile grade since these are bone conduction but it wasRead more

Top tier comfort, great design

A few points to get by first, these are not high fidelity, they are designed for comfort and convenience. The comfort is a 10/10. Battery life, touch controls and connectivity are all 10/10. SoundRead more
