Denon AH-D5200 vs. AH-D7200 vs. AH-D9200 (ENG)

Damir Franc24.4K viewsMar 2019

The reviewer compares the three Denon headphones and concludes that while the AH-D9200 is the most expensive, it offers the best overall sound quality with exceptional bass, detail, and dynamics, though its treble can be fatiguing. Techno Dad14.7K viewsOct 2020

The reviewer praises the Denon AH-D9200 as a premium closed-back headphone that delivers exceptional sound quality, particularly with a powerful yet controlled bass, clear highs, and a huge soundstage. They find it extremely comfortable for long listening sessions and note that it pairs well with a dedicated DAC/amp, though they prefer their Focal Clear Pro for accurate studio monitoring due to the Denon's slightly colored bass response.

Ultimate Denon Headphone Battle: AH-D7200 vs AH-D9200 vs AH-D5200

The reviewer compares three Denon closed-back headphones, focusing on the AH-D9200 as the flagship. They find the 9200 the most technically capable with the best soundstage, imaging, and treble extension, but note its midrange is slightly recessed and treble can be prominent. They recommend the cheaper AH-D5200 as the most universally appealing, while cautioning that the 9200's price puts it near more accurate competitors like the DCA E3.

Narrow soundstage and overpriced

These are good headphones, but I was not blown away listening to them They don t sound 10 times better than Beyerdynamic 770 250 Ohm. I d say the soundstage is even worse here.

Sound as advertised. Ear pads not.

Had problems with the right ear pad falling off. Watched U tube videos and didn’t help. The sound is amazing and will purchase another pair and hopefully it will be ok. The sound is great like everyRead more

Ear Pads Fall Off

The ear pieces come off constantly. It s a terrible design that wears out real fast. If I could return them I would. I ve had them for 2 months. I don t have the box.
