Thieaudio Prestige LTD

The reviewer compares the Thieaudio Prestige LTD to its predecessor and the Monarch Mk III, finding it a worthy update with improved technicalities like staging and separation, though the tonality shift is less dramatic than the Monarch's. The Prestige LTD is praised for its added texture and clarity, but the reviewer notes a surprising tuning decision by Thieaudio that they don't fully agree with, making it a mixed but generally positive assessment.

The reviewer compares the Thieaudio Prestige LTD to the Monarch MK3 and Hype 2, concluding that while the Prestige LTD offers superior technicalities, detail, and treble extension, it is not necessarily worth the higher price for everyone. The reviewer finds the Prestige LTD better for busy tracks and female vocals, but notes the Monarch MK3 has more impactful bass and is more engaging for male vocals. Ultimately, the reviewer gives both the Prestige LTD and Monarch MK3 an 'S' rating, but suggests the Prestige LTD is a better choice for those seeking maximum technical performance, while the Monarch MK3 is a more well-rounded all-rounder.

The reviewer is extremely impressed with the Thieaudio Prestige LTD, calling it the best earphone they've ever heard and the new gold standard. They praise its refined, cohesive, and balanced tuning, excellent clarity, and superb imaging and soundstage, noting it surpasses the Monarch Mark II. While the packaging and included case are underwhelming, the sound quality and comfort make it a standout all-rounder.

The reviewer discusses the Thieaudio Prestige LTD as one of their endgame IEMs, noting it has a different tuning from the Monarch MK3 with less bass, more detail, and a wide soundstage. They praise it for being smooth and not sharp like the original Prestige, and recommend it highly, especially when paired with a specific cable.

The reviewer finds the Thieaudio Prestige LTD to be a well-built, detailed, and technically capable IEM, but notes its bright, lean tuning with emphasized upper treble and lacking warmth and sub-bass makes it a niche choice rather than a versatile all-rounder. They recommend it for listeners prioritizing mids and sparkle, but suggest demoing it first and point to alternatives like the Monarch MK2 or Valhalla for more balanced or bass-heavy preferences.
