REVIEW: The Sennheiser Accentum Open is a terrible choice for wireless half-in-ear earbuds in 2025. Test vs Apple AirPods 4 ANC, Oppo Enco Buds3, more.

The HearWiki takeAI-condensed

The Sennheiser Accentum Open offers open-ear listening with decent sound quality, but it’s held back by a tricky fit and a build that feels less premium than its price suggests. It includes active noise cancellation and multipoint Bluetooth, though battery life is on the shorter side for a wireless model.

What works

  • Good sound quality for music and voice
  • Open design keeps you aware of surroundings
  • Supports multipoint Bluetooth for easy switching
  • Compact case with quick charge support

What doesn't

  • Fit can be unreliable for some users
  • Build quality feels flimsy for the price
  • Battery life is modest at 6.5 hours
  • No wireless charging option

The Sennheiser Accentum Open sounds good. But with a tricky fit, finicky controls, lack of app support, bad video performance, terrible call clarity, and its dirt-cheap build quality, Sennheiser should be ashamed to release this product at this price in 2025.
