REVIEW: The new Redmi Buds 7S by Xiaomi tested against the Redmi Buds 6 Active, SoundPEATS Air5 Lite, Huawei Freebuds, and Oppo Air3.

The HearWiki takeAI-condensed

The Redmi Buds 7S are budget-friendly half-in-ear earbuds that bring useful extras like multipoint, solid battery life, and clearer calls to the table. However, their adaptive noise cancelling feels nearly pointless at this level, and the sound quality doesn't live up to the potential of the hybrid driver setup. While they offer a decent feature set for the price, there are more compelling options in this crowded budget segment.

What works

  • Good battery life with the case
  • Multipoint connection works well
  • Improved call clarity
  • Lightweight and comfortable fit
  • USB-C charging

What doesn't

  • ANC is largely ineffective
  • Sound quality is underwhelming
  • No wireless charging
  • Only SBC and AAC codecs

The Redmi Buds 7S is a frustrating product. On one hand, the increased battery life, multipoint connection, and clearer calls are good additions to Xiaomi's previous budget half-in-ear wireless earbuds. But at the same time, the brand concentrated on adding almost worthless Active Noise Cancelling instead of optimizing the potential great sound for the fit these earbuds provide. There are better choices you can make for this price. Buy on AliExpress I bought the Xiaomi Redmi Buds 7S myself to test and review. Xiaomi Redmi Buds 7S: Será o Melhor In-Ear de 2025? Confira o Teste de Som e Microfone!

Bazot Tech1.8K viewsAug 2025

The reviewer finds the Redmi Buds 7S to be a solid budget option with impressive bass and good dual-device connectivity, but notes that the lack of ear tips makes the experience highly dependent on individual ear shape, and the noise cancellation is limited to a simple on/off toggle. Overall, it's a decent upgrade for the price, though not a major leap in features.

NO los RECOMIENDO ⛔️ Redmi Buds 7S REVIEW en ESPAÑOL

De Tranquis865 viewsMar 2026

The reviewer bought the Redmi Buds 7S on sale and found them disappointing overall. While the battery life, connectivity, and indoor microphone quality were decent, the sound quality was a major letdown, with weak bass and low volume, and the active noise cancellation was practically imperceptible. The reviewer does not recommend them, especially given the €30-40 price tag.
