5 source(s) feeding this product's score.
Video reviews we found, each condensed to its verdict. They do feed the HearWiki score, at a measured weight below what a published written review carries.
Reviewers largely agree that the KZ AS16 Pro offers impressive detail, vocal clarity, and a balanced tuning for its competitive price, with several praising its technicalities like micro-detail and separation.
6:47The reviewer finds the KZ AS16 Pro to be a well-executed and competitively priced IEM with impressive detail and vocal clarity thanks to its 16 balanced armature drivers, though the bass lacks sub-bass depth and the fit may be problematic for some. Overall, it's a good but not top-tier sounding product, with the reviewer suggesting the cheaper CCA Lyra as an alternative if the extra accuracy isn't needed.
11:24The reviewer criticizes the KZ AS16 Pro for its tuning, which is optimized for high output impedance sources, making it sound poor on typical devices. He notes that the $50 price point is highly competitive, and the set does not perform well with his music library, leading him to not recommend it. He also discusses broader issues with KZ's approach to tuning and competition.
12:51The reviewer finds the KZ AS16 Pro a surprising and positive step for KZ, praising its new balanced W-shaped tuning, forward mids, and excellent vocal positioning, which they consider among the best they've heard from KZ. They note it offers strong technicalities like micro-detail and separation for the $50 price, though they criticize the BA bass, comfort, and packaging.
14:35The reviewer compares the KZ AS16 Pro against several other budget in-ear monitors and finds it to be a significant improvement over the original ZS16, with a well-balanced sound that brings back the bass while taming the harsh treble. They are highly impressed with the performance for the price and recommend it for both music listening and live monitoring, even suggesting it as a great backup pair.
