Reviewers largely agree that the Hisenior Mega5EST offers top-tier, well-rounded tuning with a smooth, warm, and cohesive sound that excels as an all-rounder, often rivaling pricier gear.
10:00The reviewer is extremely enthusiastic about the Hisenior Mega5EST, calling it the closest thing to perfection he's experienced in an IEM. He praises its balanced, detailed sound that rivals far more expensive gear, and notes it has reignited his passion for audio. He does mention a minor build issue with the two-pin connector lacking a retention mechanism.
5:32The reviewer considers the Hisenior Mega5EST an excellent all-rounder IEM under $1,000, praising its cohesive and well-rounded tuning that suits most genres, though it may feel plain or boring to those seeking a more exciting or specialized sound. It competes directly with the Moondrop Variations, which the reviewer finds more exciting but less versatile, and the Mega5EST is ultimately recommended for those wanting a safe, do-everything pick.
19:45The reviewer praises the Hisenior Mega5EST as having some of the best tuning he has ever heard, describing it as a warm, laid-back neutral sound with a tasteful sub-bass boost and polite treble. He notes the fit and comfort are strong, though he dislikes that it only comes with a 4.4mm balanced cable, which he doesn't use. Overall, he considers it a top-tier IEM that reestablishes the $400-$600 price range.
9:46The reviewer finds the Hisenior Mega5EST to be a well-measuring, target-adherent IEM with a pleasing, easy-to-listen sound, but notes that its treble detail and soundstage are slightly underwhelming for the price. He compares it to the Dunu Mirai, preferring the latter's more lively and detailed presentation, though he acknowledges the Mega5EST will suit listeners who favor a smoother, less fatiguing signature.
11:56The reviewer finds the Hisenior Mega5EST to be a well-tuned, balanced, and highly musical flagship IEM that excels as an all-rounder. It offers a smooth, airy, and cohesive sound with impressive technicality, though it has a notable comfort issue for long listening sessions and a sub-bass focus that may not suit rock and metal fans. Overall, it is highly recommended for its versatility and refined presentation.
7:45The reviewer finds the Hisenior Mega5EST Bass Edition to be a smooth, warm, and comfortable listen with a fuller low end than the original 7th edition, but notes it lacks technicality and texture compared to competitors. They conclude it is enjoyable but hard to recommend at its price point, preferring alternatives like the K4 or Oracle MKIII for better value and performance.
