Reviewers largely agree that the Edifier ES850NB offers excellent battery life, balanced sound with LDAC support, and strong value for its price, making it a compelling budget option.
12:32The reviewer finds the Edifier ES850NB to be an impressive budget-friendly headphone with a balanced, dynamic sound signature, excellent battery life, and useful features like touch-to-chat and LDAC support. However, he notes some drawbacks including a less premium build quality with visible plastic gaps, average ANC performance against high-pitched noises, and a slow touch-to-chat activation. Overall, he recommends it, especially at its discounted price, as a strong value option that challenges pricier competitors.
6:34The reviewer compares the Edifier ES850NB and Soundcore Space One Pro, concluding that while the Edifier offers balanced sound, an open soundstage, and excellent battery life, its outdated design, average build quality, and weak microphone noise reduction hold it back. The reviewer ultimately prefers the Soundcore for its design and slight overall edge, but notes the Edifier is worth considering if priced under $80.
9:16The reviewer used the Edifier ES850NB for a couple of months and found them to be a good product overall, with solid sound quality, effective touch controls, and excellent battery life. However, comfort issues, a microphone that cuts off the first word of sentences, and a price too close to the superior flagship WH950NB make them hard to recommend unless the price drops significantly.
14:30The reviewer finds the Edifier ES850NB to be a well-built, feature-rich pair of wireless headphones with excellent battery life and effective ANC, though the sound is warm and bassy with recessed mids and below-average microphone quality. Despite a few drawbacks, the reviewer considers them worth the $149 price for the overall package.
7:55The reviewer tested the Edifier ES850NB over-ear headphones for two weeks and found them to be an excellent value at around £150, offering balanced sound with LDAC support, very capable ANC, and outstanding battery life. While the build quality could be more polished and ANC isn't quite at Sony or Bose levels, the reviewer concludes these are among the best value over-ear headphones available, ideal for travel and long listening sessions.
