Reviewers agree the Campfire Audio Chimera is a visually stunning, well-built flagship IEM with innovative bone conduction technology and exceptional bass texture, making it highly engaging and immersive.
28:12The reviewer finds the Campfire Audio Chimera to be a visually stunning and well-built flagship IEM, but its high price and significant comfort issues hold it back. While the sound quality is not fully detailed in the transcript, the reviewer notes the unique bone conduction implementation and premium materials, yet ultimately considers the fit a major drawback for such an expensive product.
3:58The reviewer finds the Campfire Audio Chimera to be a bizarre and unconventional IEM, with a strange mid-range and smeary bass, but praises its well-tuned treble and technical detail. Despite appreciating the company's innovation, the reviewer strongly advises against purchasing it at the $7,500 price point, noting it has niche appeal only.
25:42The reviewer is highly impressed with the Campfire Audio Chimera, calling it the most engaging and enjoyable IEM they've heard in years. They praise its unique hybrid driver configuration, exceptional bass response, and layered mid-range, concluding it competes with the best IEMs on the market.
10:28The reviewer spent a couple of hours with the Campfire Audio Chimera and was highly impressed, calling it an outstanding pair of IEMs that delivers exceptional coherence, natural timbre, and a level of musical engagement he hasn't experienced before in in-ears. He notes the bass can be a bit much for his neutral preference, but the overall quality makes the IEMs disappear and lets the music take center stage.
17:49The reviewer finds the Campfire Audio Chimera to be a special and engaging IEM that excels at transporting the listener into the recording environment, with outstanding bass texture and dynamics. It performs well across all genres, though the treble can occasionally be peaky and cause discomfort, and the bass may leave bass-heads wanting a bit more. Overall, it is considered a very good all-rounder and one of the more unique and special IEMs reviewed.
