Reviewers agree the Audeze LCD-GX stands out for its lightweight magnesium build and planar drivers that are easy to drive, making it versatile for both gaming and music.
24:55The reviewer finds the Audeze LCD-GX to be a capable and flexible gaming headset that also works well as a traditional headphone, praising its lightweight magnesium build and highly sensitive planar drivers that are easy to drive. However, he notes some ergonomic quirks, such as the ear pads tending to kick out and a headband strap that stretches over time, which slightly detract from the overall comfort. Despite these issues, he considers it a solid option for gaming, though he mentions potential cable reliability concerns reported by others.
19:22The reviewer spent two months with the Audeze LCD-GX and is highly impressed, calling it an exceptional audiophile headphone that also excels for gaming due to its wide soundstage and linear tuning. They find it more comfortable and lighter than previous Audeze models, and believe it offers great value at $899, even preferring it over the LCD-2 Classic. The main drawbacks are the glued-on earpads and the need for a proper amp/DAC to avoid noise from front PC ports.
