Reviewers agree the FiiO FD3 is a well-built, V-shaped-sounding IEM that closely mirrors the pricier FD5's tuning, offering strong bass and treble for around $100.
1:21:39The reviewer finds the FiiO FD3 to be a solid budget IEM that closely mirrors the tuning and build of the pricier FD5, offering a classic V-shaped sound with good bass and treble. While the cable is a bit stiff and the fit isn't the most secure, the overall value and performance at the $100 price point are strong, making it a competitive option against other favorites in its class.
15:28The reviewer finds the FiiO FD3 to be a fun, bass-heavy IEM with a versatile V-shaped tuning that will appeal to most listeners, especially newcomers. While the bass is impactful and the treble is well-executed with the red filter, the detail retrieval and resolution are not the best in its price range, and the bass can bleed into the mids. Overall, it's an easy recommendation for those seeking an enjoyable, thumpy sound rather than maximum technical performance.
12:02The reviewer finds the FiiO FD3 to be a well-built and good-sounding IEM for around $100, with a balanced yet lively sound signature, punchy bass, and excellent treble timbre. They note it's slightly bright and the stock cable handling is subpar, but overall it's a strong performer in its price range, especially for those who enjoy energetic treble.
14:42The reviewer finds the FiiO FD3 to be a very good single dynamic driver earphone that, for his music library, sounds better than the more expensive flagship FD5. He notes the tuning is nearly identical to the FD5, but the FD3 delivers more substantial bass and better overall performance in his listening tests, making it a strong value at $130. He concludes it is not the best in its class but is a compelling option, especially for those who found the FD5 too heavy or open.
23:02The reviewer praises the FiiO FD3 as a well-tuned, affordable single dynamic driver earphone that delivers coherent, fast, and detailed sound with a natural and musical presentation, closely matching the pricier FD5. They highlight its excellent build, design, and accessory package, concluding it's a great value at $100, though they note the Pro version's upgraded cable is a worthwhile option.
