Reviewers agree the AKG K52 is a comfortable, lightweight budget headphone that offers good value for the price, with a sound profile that works for general listening and basic mixing.
3:43The reviewer finds the AKG K52 to be a decent budget option, offering good value for the price with a comfortable suspension headband and clean sound at high volumes, but notes that the audio quality is not exceptional, the earcups can be uncomfortable for larger ears, and the non-detachable cable is a drawback. They recommend it as a secondary or backup pair rather than a primary listening or mixing headphone.
4:03The reviewer finds the AKG K52 to be a decent budget headphone with controlled bass and non-fatiguing treble, but notes a hollow, congested midrange and cheap build materials. They recommend it for budget-conscious new musicians, but not for audiophiles or bass enthusiasts, and suggest paying no more than $30-40.
17:04The reviewer finds the AKG K52 to be an impressive budget headphone, particularly praising its comfort and low-end performance, which they consider among the best under $300. However, they note the high frequencies are significantly rolled off and the build has a rattling branding issue, though they still highly recommend it for the price.
6:19The reviewer finds the AKG K52 to be a solid, no-frills budget closed-back headphone that performs well for its price. It is comfortable, well-built for the cost, and offers a sound profile suitable for general listening and basic mixing, though it lacks bass impact and portability features. The reviewer concludes it is a worthy option for budget-conscious buyers, especially those starting in video production.
