Sennheiser CX 100

The Sennheiser CX 100 is a solid budget buy for $30, offering good sound isolation and a balanced, punchy sound that suits pop, hip-hop, and rock, though it lacks a mic/remote and can get muddy in the lower mids and with bass-heavy tracks, making it less ideal for classical or jazz.

The reviewer finds the Sennheiser CX100 to be a well-built but awkward-to-use budget earphone with a bright, extended treble and good detail, yet it suffers from thin coloration, intrusive rasp and distortion across most music, making it suitable mainly for voice or solo instrument monitoring rather than general listening.

The Sennheiser CX 1.00 earphones are solid, balanced performers with good dynamics and clarity, but they lack an in-line remote and could offer more substance in sound. They are a good budget option if you can overlook the missing remote, though spending a bit more on alternatives like the Soundmagic E10C may yield better value.
