Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5

The reviewer tested the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 in their lab and found them to be a strong premium option, with impressive sound quality, effective noise cancellation, and a comfortable, feature-rich design. They highlight the dual-driver system and AI-based ANC as key improvements, though they note the lossless audio requires a compatible Huawei device. Overall, they recommend them for those seeking a comprehensive true wireless experience.

The reviewer finds the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 to be an excellent successor to the Pro 4, with notable improvements in noise cancellation, call quality, and durability, though the sound quality remains in the top tier but not elite. They recommend it as one of the best earbuds for phone calls and overall performance, despite minor drawbacks like the removal of foam tips.

The reviewer considers the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 a strong contender for the 'AirPods for Android' title, praising its premium design, excellent call quality, and versatile controls, while noting that its ANC and transparency modes are good but not class-leading. They conclude it offers flagship-level performance at a mid-range price, making it a compelling choice for cross-ecosystem users.

The reviewer compares the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 5 with the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max, finding the Huawei more comfortable and better for calls, while the Soundcore excels in noise cancelling and case features. The Huawei is praised for its IP rating and button controls, but the Soundcore offers more customization and a more functional case display. The verdict is mixed, with each having strengths depending on user priorities.
