Audio Technica ATH-ADG1X

The reviewer finds the ATH-ADG1X comfortable, lightweight, and with good sound for gaming, but criticizes its poor control box with a popping mute switch and unresponsive volume knob. At its $300 price, the compromises are unacceptable, though it would be decent at $100.

The reviewer finds the ATH-ADG1X to be a comfortable, lightweight open-back gaming headset with excellent clarity and a good microphone, though the open design leaks sound and lets in ambient noise. It is priced higher than some competitors but offers a wide frequency range that also works well for music.

The reviewer finds the ATH-ADG1X to be a high-quality gaming headset, praising its exceptional audio clarity and superb microphone performance, which they consider among the best they've tested. They note the open-air design offers great comfort but lacks noise isolation, and the floating headband may slide on smaller heads, though a simple fix exists. Overall, they believe the $299 price is justified by the audio and mic quality.

The reviewer praises the ATH-ADG1X for its excellent open-back audio quality and comfortable 3D wing support, calling it his favorite gaming headset in a long time. He notes minor drawbacks like a cheap-feeling inline volume wheel and the lack of a travel case, but overall considers the high price justified by the top-notch sound and comfort.

The reviewer finds the ATH-ADG1X to be an excellent stereo gaming headset with impressive audio quality for music and games, a good microphone, and comfortable ear cups, but notes it is expensive, has a plasticky build, a sensitive volume wheel, and lacks virtual surround sound out of the box.
