Generation & platform
The scores rank quality. This is the other question: is the newer one actually newer technology, or the same platform in a new shell?
Same generation
Both shipped in 2025. These are the same generation of hardware - nothing in the radio, the codecs or the noise cancelling separates them. Nothing separates them on convenience features either, so the choice comes down to tuning and price.

What reviewers said
Yanyin Canon Pro
The Yanyin Canon Pro is a wired hybrid IEM combining one dynamic driver and six balanced armatures, designed to deliver a rich, bass-forward yet controlled sound with smooth upper frequencies. It offers subtle tuning flexibility through its bass switch, good technical detail, and a spacious stage that pairs well with a variety of sources. While its relaxed treble suits those seeking fatigue-free listening, it may lack sparkle for fans of brighter highs.
- Pro:Powerful yet controlled bass with switchable tuning
- Pro:Excellent detail retrieval and instrument separation
- Pro:Spacious soundstage and precise imaging
- Con:Treble may be too soft for listeners wanting more energy
- Con:Higher price point may not suit budget-conscious buyers
- Con:Wired-only design limits portability convenience
Ziigaat Horizon
The Ziigaat Horizon is a wired tribrid IEM that offers impressive technical performance for its price, featuring a large soundstage and detailed treble. Its W-shaped tuning balances fun and technicality, though its energetic treble and lighter bass may not suit everyone.
- Pro:Excellent technical performance for the price
- Pro:Large, holographic soundstage with strong imaging
- Pro:Detailed and extended treble
- Con:Treble can be fatiguing or slightly sibilant
- Con:Limited mid-bass punch and physical bass impact
- Con:Build quality can feel a bit cheap
