Generation & platform

The scores rank quality. This is the other question: is the newer one actually newer technology, or the same platform in a new shell?

Same generation

Both shipped in 2024. These are the same generation of hardware - nothing in the radio, the codecs or the noise cancelling separates them. Nothing separates them on convenience features either, so the choice comes down to tuning and price.

What reviewers said

QKZ x HBB Hades

The QKZ x HBB Hades is a wired dual-dynamic IEM that leans heavily into a bass-forward, L-shaped sound signature, making it a niche pick for fans of deep, impactful low-end rather than a versatile all-rounder. It offers a comfortable, well-built shell with a detachable 2-pin cable, but its dark, congested tuning sacrifices midrange clarity and treble detail, and it performs best with a bit of extra amplification despite its low impedance.

Pro:Comfortable and secure fit with appealing shell design
Pro:Sturdy build quality and nice packaging
Pro:Easy to drive, though benefits from extra power

Con:Very bass-heavy tuning with noticeable bleed into mids
Con:Recessed mids and treble limit vocal and detail clarity
Con:Weak technical performance (resolution and soundstage)

Tripowin x 0diBi Vivace

The Tripowin x 0diBi Vivace is a budget-friendly wired IEM featuring a single 10mm dynamic driver, delivering a lively, pop-oriented sound with a Harman-inspired balance and extra treble sparkle. It offers a comfortable fit, solid build, and a spacious, engaging presentation that makes it a strong value pick for casual listeners. While its bass is full and textured, it may not appeal to those seeking a highly technical or analytical low end.

Pro:Excellent value for the price
Pro:Engaging, energetic tuning with good treble detail
Pro:Comfortable and well-accessorized package

Con:Bass lacks technical refinement
Con:Not class-leading in any single aspect
Con:May not suit listeners wanting a neutral or analytical signature
