TRN TA4

The reviewer finds the TRN TA4 to be a technically capable IEM with excellent soundstage, layering, and detail retrieval, but notes its tuning is very balanced and warm with a dark treble and a mid-bass emphasis that can bleed into the mids. It requires a good source to drive properly and is best paired with warm-sounding gear, making it a solid but not exciting choice for those who prefer a relaxed, non-fatiguing sound.

The reviewer finds the TRN TA4 to be a comfortable, well-built IEM with a balanced, mellow sound signature that is pleasant for relaxed listening, though it lacks micro-detail and dynamics. The modular cable is a standout feature at this price, and the overall audio quality is considered fair for the cost, especially for those who prefer a smooth, mid-forward tuning.

The reviewer finds the TRN TA4 to be a well-executed and coherent hybrid IEM, improving on previous TRN models with a balanced W-shaped tuning and good technical performance. They praise its build, accessories, and overall sound quality, considering it a strong value at its price point, though they note minor issues like the lack of a carrying case and the plug termination.

The reviewer praises the TRN TA4 as a well-balanced and smooth-sounding IEM with a fast, controlled bass and natural vocals, highlighting its excellent modular cable and good value at under $80. They note it favors female vocals slightly and has a coherent multi-driver setup, though it lacks deep sub-bass extension and has less isolation due to the semi-open back. Overall, they consider it a great tuning and a strong recommendation, especially for those prioritizing mids and highs.
