The TRUTHEAR NOVA is a hybrid in-ear monitor with a 1DD+4BA configuration and a 3-way crossover, featuring a 10mm dynamic driver for bass and dual balanced armatures for mids and treble. It delivers a warm, soft, clear, and natural sound with slightly less bass than the Harman IE 2019 target, using a DLP-3D printed cavity for precise acoustic tuning.

6:32The reviewer finds the Truthear Nova to be a technically proficient and well-tuned IEM that closely follows the Harman in-ear target, offering a bombastic and exciting sound with smooth treble and well-textured bass. However, it is noted for being physically large, having a thin sound signature, and being unsuitable for those who dislike the Harman tuning or are sensitive to upper mids. The reviewer ultimately recommends it for fans of the Harman target but advises others to avoid it.
6:33The reviewer finds the TRUTHEAR NOVA to be a commendable budget alternative to the Moondrop Variations, offering a similar sound signature at a much lower price. However, they personally find the tuning lean, fatiguing, and shouty in the mids, and prefer the more balanced HEXA at the same price point. They recommend EQ for the NOVA to get the most out of it.
12:48The reviewer initially found the Truthear Nova to be a mixed bag, but after swapping the stock silicone tips for the included foam tips, he now considers it the best IEM he has ever heard. He praises its treble clarity, bass extension, and overall linearity, claiming it surpasses the Moondrop Variations in sound quality while being significantly cheaper. He notes minor concerns about fit comfort and the availability of replacement foam tips.
7:35The reviewer finds the Truthear NOVA to be a technically capable and clean-sounding IEM, but criticizes its low-end as too neutral and uninvolving, making it a safe but somewhat forgettable tuning. It excels in clarity and treble smoothness, but lacks the bass impact and excitement of competitors like the EM6L or Heyday, making it a niche recommendation for those who prefer a neutral, clean sound.
