Reviewers agree the TRN TA3 offers good build quality, an attractive design, and a modular cable, with a fun, bass-heavy V-shaped sound that suits electronic music.
7:24The reviewer finds the TRN TA3 to be a well-built and attractive in-ear monitor with a gorgeous design reminiscent of Focal headphones and a generous accessory kit. The sound is described as bassy with a V-shaped tuning, good technicality and a wide soundstage, but the high frequencies can be overshadowed by the bass and there is no standout 'wow' factor. Overall, it is recommended for those who enjoy bass-oriented electronic music, though it faces stiff competition in its price range.
10:52The reviewer finds the TRN TA3 to be a decent budget IEM with a fun, V-shaped sound, but notes that its bass-heavy tuning muddies the mids and makes female vocals sound veiled. While it has good build quality and a modular cable, the reviewer concludes it is just okay for the price, preferring competitors like the TKZK Oranos for better tuning and naturalness.
42:39The reviewer compares three TRN IEMs, including the TA3, which he finds to be a well-built and comfortable set with a nice modular cable. He notes that the TA3's sound is engaging and detailed, but it requires careful tip selection to perform at its best, and he has some reservations about its tonality and timbre. Overall, he considers it a solid budget option but not without flaws.
24:43The reviewer is highly impressed with the TRN TA3, calling it an outstanding value at around $58. He praises its excellent build quality, modular cable, and well-integrated triple-driver setup, noting it sounds significantly better than the more expensive Kiwi Ears Quartet. He finds the bass, vocals, and instrumentals all perform exceptionally well for the price, with no major flaws.
