Reviewers agree the TRN ST2 is a well-built, comfortable budget hybrid IEM with a detachable cable and attractive clear shell, offering good value for its price.
2:40The reviewer finds the TRN ST2 to be a decent budget hybrid IEM with a V-shaped sound, good fit, and improved cable over its predecessor, but notes thin mids and occasional harshness in female vocals. It offers good value for money, though it's not exceptional and competes closely with the KZ ZST X.
10:26The reviewer finds the TRN ST2 to be a well-built and comfortable budget hybrid earphone with a detachable cable and attractive design, but the sound signature is too aggressive and bright for their taste, with recessed mids and harsh treble. They suggest EQ or tip changes to tame the treble, but overall it's not their preferred tuning.
8:41The reviewer finds the TRN ST2 to be a disappointing follow-up to the ST1, with a harsh and fatiguing upper midrange and treble that requires EQ to be listenable. While the bass is clean and the build is attractive, the overall tuning is too sharp and dry, making it a less successful update.
19:36The reviewer finds the TRN ST2 to be a solid budget hybrid earphone, offering good value with a natural and bright tuning, decent resolution, and a well-defined soundstage. While it can sound sharp on poor recordings, it remains controlled with proper sources, making it a recommended pick for its price.
16:37The reviewer finds the TRN ST2 to be a decent but flawed budget IEM. It has excellent, well-controlled bass and a wide, immersive soundstage with good imaging, making it fun for certain genres. However, the upper mids and lower treble are overly bright and harsh, the design is unusual and potentially uncomfortable for some, and the lack of tuning nozzles is a step back from its predecessor. Overall, the reviewer would not recommend it to most people unless they specifically enjoy a bright, spicy sound signature.
