The TRN BA8 is a full balanced armature in-ear monitor with 8 drivers per side, featuring a precision-tuned electronic crossover and an aerospace-grade magnesium alloy shell. It delivers a wide frequency response from deep bass to extended treble with low distortion.

Reviewers agree the TRN BA8 is a technically capable, comfortable IEM with excellent clarity, detail, and a wide soundstage, but its bright, treble-forward tuning is polarizing.
7:51The reviewer finds the TRN BA8 to be a promising upgrade over the BA5, with a unique pearl green metal shell, good comfort and seal, and a clean, monitor-like sound signature that is tight, detailed, and not sibilant. They enjoy the large soundstage and separation, and note the tuning is similar to the BA5 but with more elevated 6K region, making it more detailed and fuller in vocals. Overall, their initial impressions are very positive.
8:42The reviewer strongly dislikes the TRN BA8, finding its tuning severely flawed with an exaggerated upper-mid and treble emphasis that makes music sound unnatural and harsh. They consider it a poor value at $143, lacking the low-end impact of a dynamic driver and failing to serve either music enjoyment or studio monitoring purposes. They recommend against purchasing it.
9:52The reviewer finds the TRN BA8 to be a technically capable IEM with excellent clarity, detail, and a well-tuned bright treble, though the bass is light in quantity and the included cable and accessories are subpar for the price. He recommends it for genres like classical and acoustic, but notes it may not suit bass-heavy listeners, and suggests it's a good value if found around $100.
16:56The reviewer finds the TRN BA8 to be a bright, treble-forward IEM that is a departure from the warmer, more cohesive BA5, blending characteristics of the BA5 and the VX. While it excels with female vocals, offers a wide, wrap-around soundstage, and has good transparency, its aggressive treble, metallic BA tonality, and recessed male vocals make it a niche product that requires careful playlist consideration or mitigation like EQ or tape.
13:42The reviewer finds the TRN BA8 to be a well-built and comfortable earphone with a bright, treble-focused sound that is highly detailed and natural on well-recorded material, but it is very demanding of source quality and not suitable for those sensitive to treble or who prefer a warmer, bass-heavy signature. The price is considered high for the modest accessory set, and the overall target audience is narrow.
