IE 900 - The precision-manufactured aluminum housing of the IE 900 faithfully protects the dynamic TrueResponse transducers at the heart of Sennheiser’s innovative X3R technology. Experience the peak of German audio engineering and manufacturing with earphones that deliver only the purest, most natural sound.

Reviewers largely agree that the Sennheiser IE 900 excels in bass quality, comfort, and soundstage, making it a top-tier choice for immersive listening, especially with instrumental music.
12:43The reviewer finds the Sennheiser IE 900 to be an excellent flagship IEM, particularly praising its outstanding bass response, which surpasses even much more expensive competitors, and its class-leading comfort. However, he notes that the treble is somewhat dark and understated, and the overall technicality is not hyper-detailed, making it more suited for enjoyable listening rather than critical analysis.
21:45The reviewer compares the Sennheiser IE 900, IE 600, and IE 200, focusing on the IE 900's performance. They praise its exceptional bass texture and dynamics but criticize its recessed midrange, which makes vocals sound stuffy, along with ergonomic and cable issues. Overall, the IE 900 is seen as a top-tier bass performer but with significant tonal compromises.
8:48The reviewer finds the Sennheiser IE 900 to be a top-tier in-ear monitor that improves upon the IE 300 across the board, offering deeper sub-bass, cleaner treble, and better imaging while maintaining excellent comfort. It is described as the end-game choice for those who enjoy a V-shaped sound signature, though it is pricey and the IE 300 offers similar performance for much less.
14:51The reviewer, after 8 months of use, considers the Sennheiser IE 900 to be endgame for instrumental music, praising its exceptional bass and live-like sound. However, they note significant sibilance on poorly mixed vocal tracks and advise against aftermarket tips and cables, which they found degrade the sound and even caused a ground noise issue. Overall, they strongly recommend the IE 900 for audiophiles, especially with a good source and amplifier.
14:40The reviewer praises the Sennheiser IE 900 as a top-tier flagship IEM that significantly improves on previous Sennheiser models, highlighting its innovative three-resonator design for refined treble and its neutral, detailed sound that avoids the need for EQ. They consider it a reference IEM, though they note it does not follow the Harman target, which they argue is not a requirement for excellence.
10:28The reviewer finds the Sennheiser IE 900 to be a very good, well-rounded IEM with excellent technical performance, good tonality, and outstanding comfort. The main caveat is a slightly bright treble that may cause fatigue for some listeners, but overall it is highly recommended, especially for fans of single dynamic driver IEMs.
