The HyperX Cloud Revolver S is a premium gaming headset with Dolby 7.1 surround sound, featuring 50mm drivers, a durable steel frame, and memory foam comfort. It includes a USB audio control box with DSP for enhanced audio.

Reviewers largely agree that the HyperX Cloud Revolver S offers excellent comfort, premium build quality, and strong gaming audio, with many praising its virtual 7.1 surround sound for positional accuracy in games.
7:33The reviewer finds the HyperX Cloud Revolver S to be a well-built and comfortable headset with excellent virtual 7.1 surround sound for gaming, but notes that the metal frame still causes some reverberation and that the $150 price is hard to justify when cheaper alternatives like the HyperX Cloud II or Stinger offer similar performance. The reviewer personally prefers stereo sound and would not choose this headset over cheaper options.
10:05The reviewer highly recommends the HyperX Cloud Revolver S, praising its exceptional comfort, solid build quality, and balanced, detailed sound for gaming. However, he is disappointed with the 7.1 surround sound feature, finding it hollow and less detailed than stereo mode, and notes the headset feels heavy. Overall, he considers it a worthwhile purchase at $150 for its versatility and performance.
8:26The reviewer finds the HyperX Cloud Revolver S to be a high-quality gaming headset, praising its balanced sound and exceptional comfort, but is disappointed with the USB dongle's Dolby 7.1 surround mode and equalizer presets, which degrade audio quality. They recommend using the headset without the dongle for the best experience, concluding it's worth the price for its core strengths.
12:50The reviewer praises the HyperX Cloud Revolver S as a top-tier gaming headset, highlighting its excellent audio quality, comfortable fit, and above-average microphone. The standout feature is the plug-and-play USB dongle that provides 7.1 surround sound and EQ presets without software, making it highly versatile across devices. Despite minor drawbacks like a resonant metal headband and slightly weak high frequencies, the reviewer strongly recommends it and awards it an Editor's Choice.
6:30The reviewer finds the HyperX Cloud Revolver S to be a strong gaming headset with excellent 7.1 surround sound for positional audio in games and movies, plus a clear microphone with good noise cancellation. While the sound is warm and pleasant for music, the surround mode reduces bass, and the non-detachable cable and moderate maximum volume are minor drawbacks. Overall, it's recommended for competitive gamers and multimedia use.
10:35The reviewer is highly impressed with the HyperX Cloud Revolver S, praising its exceptional comfort, build quality, and especially the microphone quality when used with the included USB sound card. They note that the sound card significantly improves audio clarity and that the headset is excellent for gaming, though they mention a minor dislike about the lack of extra ear cup options. Overall, they rate it 5 out of 5 and give it an Excellence Award.
