AKG Y50BT

The reviewer tested the AKG Y50BT Bluetooth headphones during a short trip, finding them to have excellent sound quality with strong bass and clear highs, though they are on-ear rather than over-ear, which may be less ideal for plane travel. They noted the headphones block a good amount of noise but not all, and at around $120, they consider them a good deal despite some minor drawbacks like a proprietary cable and excessive branding.

The reviewer finds the AKG Y50BT headphones to be a high-quality, durable option with excellent sound and battery life, suitable for workouts despite not being marketed as sports headphones. They note the price is high but consider it justified by the performance and dual wired/wireless functionality.

The reviewer finds the AKG Y50BT headphones to be a solid choice for everyday wireless listening, praising their good sound quality with a bass boost that helps in noisy environments, comfortable fit, and portability. They note the lack of active noise cancelling but consider the bass boost a practical alternative, and they are impressed that wired and wireless performance sound nearly identical. The main issue is a stiff volume plus button, but overall they recommend them as daily drivers.

The reviewer shares his long-term experience with the AKG Y50BT, praising the sound quality and comfort for short sessions but noting discomfort after two hours, a persistent static noise in Bluetooth mode when idle, and concerns about durability. He considers them a good value if bought for under $100, especially on Amazon, but not worth the higher retail prices.

The reviewer finds the AKG Y50BT to be a well-built, comfortable, and reliable wireless headphone with excellent Bluetooth range and sound quality, though the controls are finicky and the microphone is non-functional. They rate it 8 out of 10 as a wireless set, praising its performance during runs and around the house, but note the design may look tacky and prone to scratches.
