Sivga P2 Pro

The reviewer finds the Sivga P2 Pro to be a versatile, comfortable, and well-built headphone with a mid-range-focused tuning that excels in vocal clarity and separation, though it lacks treble energy and has a slightly honky mid-range. It performs well across various sources and genres, making it a reliable daily driver, though it faces stiff competition from more technically adept rivals.

The reviewer finds the Sivga P2 Pro to be a worthy successor to the classic Sendy Audio Aiva, offering a warmer and more exciting planar sound with improved clarity and build refinements like a 3.5mm cable connection. While noting it is more expensive than some competitors and has a narrower soundstage, the reviewer overall praises its engaging and aggressive yet smooth presentation, considering it a strong return to form for the brand.

The reviewer finds the Sivga P2 Pro very comfortable with excellent build quality and attractive wood grills, but criticizes the metal backplate for causing acoustic reflections that muddy clarity and create resonance. He extensively modded the headphone to test improvements, noting the driver is easy to service but the design has inherent acoustic flaws.

The reviewer is highly impressed with the Sivga P2 Pro, calling it a serious and mature-sounding planar headphone that punches well above its price. They praise its natural, neutral tuning, impactful bass, and excellent vocal reproduction, and consider it a strong competitor in the sub-$500 category, even comparing it favorably to the Focal Clear. The reviewer concludes it is a great all-rounder and one of the best for dynamics and speed at this price.

The reviewer is highly impressed with the Sivga P2 Pro, calling it a paradigm shift in the mid-fi category due to its flagship-level performance at a $599 price point. They praise its build quality, comfort, and exceptional detail retrieval, though they note a bright treble that requires break-in and can be too energetic for some listeners. Overall, they see it as a remarkable value that outperforms older flagship models.

The reviewer praises the Sivga P2 Pro as an excellent planar magnetic headphone, highlighting its comfortable fit, premium build, and detailed, open sound signature. They compare it favorably to the Hifiman Ananda, noting the P2 Pro has better bass impact and a more forward midrange, while the Ananda is lighter and more comfortable. Overall, the reviewer considers the P2 Pro a top performer in its price range, with minor caveats about weight and comfort.
