Reviewers agree the Sennheiser HD 579 delivers excellent sound quality for its price, with a warm, balanced, and detailed signature that includes punchy bass and clear highs, making it a strong value pick.
8:59The reviewer compares the four Sennheiser HD 500 series models, concluding that the HD 579 offers the best overall sound quality and value, with a balanced, warm, and punchy presentation. The HD 599 is noted as a great option for audiophiles but costs more, while the HD 569 is praised for comfort and versatility, and the HD 559 is not recommended due to its thick, less detailed sound.
6:47The reviewer finds the Sennheiser HD 579 to be an excellent-sounding headphone with a warm, balanced, and detailed sound signature, particularly praising the punchy bass and clear highs. However, comfort is a step down from the HD 569 due to thinner padding and a more noticeable headband, though still good overall. Despite minor drawbacks, the reviewer highly recommends it for its sound quality and value, especially at its price point.
5:10The reviewer finds the Sennheiser HD 579 to be a clear, neutral-sounding open-back headphone that excels with a dedicated amplifier, offering improved clarity and less distortion than the HD 598. While bass-heavy listeners may not favor its neutral tuning, the reviewer appreciates its performance and plans to keep it, recommending it strongly.
4:39The reviewer finds the Sennheiser HD 579 to be a comfortable, good-sounding open-back headphone that offers great value, with a classic design and solid all-round performance. It compares favorably to the HD 598, though it has a slightly shorter frequency response, and is best suited for home use due to sound leakage.
