The KZ PR2 is a planar magnetic in-ear monitor featuring a 13.2mm driver with a dual-sided array of 14 N52 rubidium magnets, a silver-plated nanoscale diaphragm, and a replaceable silver-plated cable.

Reviewers unanimously agree the KZ PR2 is an outstanding budget planar IEM, offering exceptional value and technical performance that rivals pricier competitors.
8:05The reviewer praises the KZ PR2 planar earphones as an exceptional value, claiming they offer performance comparable to or better than much more expensive planar sets due to a high-quality driver and aggressive pricing. He believes this model represents a turning point for budget planars, though he notes the tuning is similar to other sets and invites comparisons to challenge his claim.
12:31The reviewer finds the KZ x HBB PR2 to be an impressive planar magnetic IEM offering excellent value for its price, with a clean, detailed, and well-balanced sound signature. While the tonality is a bit lean for his taste and it requires amplification, he highly recommends it for its technical performance and lack of fatigue.
12:00The reviewer highly recommends the KZ x HBB PR2 as the best budget planar IEM, praising its improved tuning and technical performance over its predecessors. While it requires more power to drive and has recessed lower mids, its value at $46 is unmatched, making it a no-brainer for budget-conscious buyers.
5:31The reviewer finds the KZ x HBB PR2 to be an excellent budget planar IEM, praising its premium metal build, comfortable fit, and smooth, laid-back sound signature with good bass and imaging. While it requires significant power to drive and has slightly soft treble detail, the reviewer considers it the best entry-level planar option at this price, even preferring it over the pricier Dioko for its more engaging presentation.
16:23The reviewer finds the KZ x HBB PR2 to be a successful budget planar IEM, offering a full planar experience at $40 with a safer, more natural tuning than its predecessor. It is easier to listen to than the PR1 Pro, with a more neutral mid-bass and controlled treble, though it requires significant power and a good seal to sound its best. The reviewer recommends it for most people, especially first-time planar buyers, but notes that treble enthusiasts may still prefer the PR1 Pro.
20:13The reviewer finds the KZ PR2 to be a well-tuned and cohesive-sounding magnetic planar IEM, offering a neutral, transparent, and organic presentation with excellent treble and technicalities, but it requires substantial amplification to perform at its best. Despite its low sensitivity, it scales well with powerful sources and is highly recommended for those who prefer a balanced, uncolored sound.
