22:43The reviewer compares three planar IEMs under $200, including the Hidizs MP145 Pro, and concludes that one of them surpasses the original S12 as his new favorite sub-$200 planar. He notes the MP145 Pro has a bulky fit but good build, and its sound signature aims for the 2019 Harman target, though he doesn't explicitly state which model wins in the provided transcript.
15:32The reviewer finds the MP145 Pro to be a clean, vocal-centric planar with excellent clarity and detail, especially in the upper mids, but notes it has a lean bass and can sound shouty with certain genres. It is recommended as a niche pick for those who prioritize vocal detail, but not as versatile as other all-rounders in the comparison.
10:19The reviewer is highly impressed with the Hidizs MP145 Pro, calling it a true improvement over the already excellent MP145. He highlights its wider soundstage, richer and denser sound across the frequency range, and a mature, organic tonality that avoids brightness or metallic harshness. He concludes it lives up to expectations and retains a similar affordable price point.
26:24The reviewer finds the Hidizs MP145 Pro to be a solid planar IEM with excellent imaging and dynamics, but notes that it requires fiddling with nozzles and tips to get the best sound, and even then, there's a slight treble edginess that can be fatiguing. The bulky shell design is less comfortable than some competitors, and while it performs well sonically, it's not a clear winner over alternatives like the Dita Audio Preludes.
21:23The reviewer finds the Hidizs MP145 Pro to be a large, well-built planar IEM that offers impressive soundstage and dynamics for its price. He strongly prefers the red tuning nozzles, which provide a warmer, bassier sound, while disliking the default brass ones for excessive treble. Overall, he is fascinated by its performance and recommends it over the original MP145, especially for the improved cable and nozzle options.
