The Dan Clark Audio Ether C Flow is a flagship closed-back planar magnetic headphone featuring TrueFlow technology to reduce distortion and improve dynamics. It retains the V-Planar driver and carbon fiber cups, priced at $1799.

Reviewers agree the Ether C Flow is exceptionally comfortable, well-built, and offers outstanding detail and neutrality for a closed-back planar, making it a top choice for professional monitoring.
11:52The reviewer finds the Ether C Flow to be an exceptionally neutral closed-back headphone, closely matching the Harman target, and considers it the best-sounding sealed headphone he has heard. However, he notes a small but annoying peak in the mid-treble, slightly elevated overall treble, and a lack of the nuanced, liquid sound expected at its $1,800 price. He recommends it for audio professionals needing neutrality, but for audiophiles, he suggests cheaper closed options like the ATH-M50x or investing in an open headphone instead.
9:06The reviewer is highly impressed with the Ether C Flow 1.1, praising its exceptional comfort and outstanding detail resolution for a closed-back planar. While noting a narrow soundstage, slightly slow bass, and a treble spike, the overall verdict is a very strong recommendation, with the reviewer even expressing a desire to buy the unit.
11:03The reviewer finds the DCA Ether C Flow 1.1 to be a highly comfortable and well-built closed-back planar headphone that performs best with powerful amplification. They appreciate the tuning flexibility offered by the included pads, ultimately preferring the white pads for a warmer, more natural sound, while noting the stock 1.1 tuning is more neutral and analytical. Overall, they consider it an enjoyable, older design that remains competitive, especially when paired with a synergistic amp.
